Grandmaster Sun Ki Chong (Founder / Curriculum Advisor / Guest Instructor): As one of the most successful head coaches of the U.S. National Tae Kwon Do Team, Grandmaster Sun Ki Chong has earned international recognition for his Tae Kwon Do skills and teaching methods. Having completed his coaching career with distinction, Grandmaster Chong currently directs all of his efforts to developing World Class Tae Kwon Do Centers for the benefit of his students. He personally oversees four schools in the Buffalo area. He founded our school in Syracuse and ran it until the Syracuse school was purchased by Master Mark Biviano, one of Grandmaster Chong's students. Grandmaster Chong still visits our school to supervise most Tae Kwon Do rank tests. Master Chong's World Class Tae Kwon Do web site presents information on his Buffalo Tae Kwon Do Schools and provides more information on the benefits of Tae Kwon Do training. This link will open in a separate window. |
| Master Mark Biviano (Owner / Instructor): Master Mark Biviano studied a number of different martial arts including karate and judo before walking in the door of the original Master Chong's World Class Tae Kwon Do Center in Syracuse, NY. Master Biviano's love of the art eventually led him to purchase the Syracuse School. He retained the "Master Chong's World Class Tae Kwon Do Center" name out of his deep respect for his instructor, Master Sun Ki Chong. He moved the school to a plaza in Manlius, NY and, when he out grew that facility, he moved the school to its current location in Fayetteville, NY. In 2004, he opened a satellite school in North Syracuse, NY. Master Biviano is a 5th Dan Black Belt. Some of his achievements include: 1994 Senior U.S. National Champion, 1994 Pan American Bronze Medalist, 1998 U.S. Senior National Champion. Since 2002, Master Biviano has been certified as an International Referee for Tae Kwon Do events. In 2005, he served as Referee Vice Chairman for the Pan American Taekwondo Union. At the end of 2006, Master Biviano was elected to serve for four years as the Referee Director on the USA Taekwondo Board of Directors. Click here for Master Biviano action photos.
